On Saturday 25th February, Mrs Hopkins met a group of our children at Longfield School for the Vale and Melton Schools annual cross country event. This was the 28th year it had been held and there was a great turn out.

Our children were very excited and were eager to take part. The weather was fine but the ground was very muddy, making the going tough, especially up the slippery banks!

Parents, brothers and sisters cheered our runners on and all finished the course tired but exhilarated. Two of our children finished in the top six (out of over 100 runners) so each received a special medal. These children will now join forces with the other top runners to represent the area at the county championships at Prestwold Hall later this term.

Mrs Hopkins was once again a very proud Headteacher.
