Mr Ben Cheeseman came in to talk to the children about how building materials are made and what they are made from (raw materials).

He talked about building houses and how we make them strong, safe and warm. He told us what it was like to work on a building site and the safety clothes he needs to wear.

He conducted an experiment - which material was strongest (plastic pipe or clay tile). The children were then set the task of which material was the strongest.
