‘Let your light shine.’ Matthew 5:16

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Harvest Festival at Belvoir Castle

20 September 2016

On the evening of Tuesday 20th September, a small group of children were invited to attend the Harvest Festival at Belvoir Castle. It was held in the chapel and was led by Canon Judith Wells and Paul Towns, the Acting Chaplain to their Graces the Duke and Duchess of Rutland.

During the service, the children from Redmile and Waltham performed their own Harvest song together on their ukuleles, which all the children in Years 4, 5 and 6 have started to learn in school. They listened to a wonderful choir and some beautiful readings about Harvest too!

Everyone felt like real princes and princesses in the castle, especially as it was at night time.
