A fantastic day was had at Melton Mowbray Tennis Club. In the morning, Waltham had three teams participating in the Y3/4 event each developing their singles matchplay understanding, serve and return as well as an introduction to doubles. The Waltham Wombats won their group and went onto the finals where they narrowly missed out on victory to Captains Close. 

In the afternoon, it was the turn of Y5/6, where another 3 Waltham teams took to the clay courts. The Waltham Wizards finished top of their group and progressed to the final where they were victorious against Brownlow. A hugely competitive match which came down to points won after 2 singles wins each. A huge well done to all children involved, for demonstrating brilliant attitudes, team work and fair-play across the day.
