The children from Years 1 to 6 took part in tailored made drama workshops with Mary Benzies, where they were introduced to the stories of William Shakespeare.

It was a really enjoyable day and a treat to watch all the children engage with the stories and jump into the characters’ shoes.

Holly and Oak class loved hearing about the crazy goings on in the magical forest of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Sycamore class threw themselves into the thrilling mythical tale of Macbeth, becoming the witches and casting spells around an imaginary cauldron.

The children learnt ways in which we bring stories to life on stage. They used their bodies, faces and voices to express the characters and bring meaning to the words.
