‘Let your light shine.’ Matthew 5:16

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday

On Tuesday 13th September the whole school celebrated Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday by dressing up as one of their favourite characters from his books. They also brought in their favourite Roald Dahl books and shared them with friends.

During the day, the children participated in a range of Roald Dahl tasks such as, writing their own recipes for a Marvellous Medicine, writing their big dreams in dream jars for the BFG, designing a new chocolate bar for Willy Wonka and using the internet to find out about Roald Dahl and his life.

At the end of the day we held a celebration assembly where all the children came together to show off their costumes; it was great fun, everyone made such an effort, even the teachers!

We had such a brilliant day, so thank you so much for your books Roald Dahl and Happy Birthday.
